Civil engineering department is an integral part of Jahangirabad Educational Trust group of institutions Lucknow UP. It is mainly focused to develop skill oriented and knowledgeable and strong capabilities for career engineers. Civil engineering discipline mainly deals with the construction and design of works such as bridges, roads, dams, buildings and survey of land etc.it is further divided in sub-discipline like structural engineering, geotechnical engineering, environmental engineering and hydraulics engineering etc. to resolve the problems in these different fields.
The undergraduate course offers complete knowledge in the field of civil engineering apart from basic science knowledge. Teaching process includes fully furnished laboratories along with seminar halls which make a student to a perfect engineer. Conduction of site visits, railway visit and survey camps helps to make student familiar with the practical knowledge.
The department has highly qualified and experienced faculties from NITS, AMU and reputed Engineering colleges to train the students in all streams so that they can fit for real field. As far as the development of students is concerned the department is not only concerned with the enhancement of academic knowledge of the student but also with the overall development so as to make the student competent enough to survive in the professional world and be a better person. Department conducted seminar, workshop and expert talk to understand the field reality
The department has well equipped lab facilities for all the streams i.e. transportation, environment, surveying, fluid mechanics and hydraulics, geotechnical and geoinformatics, structure lab. We also have availability of all the software necessary for Cad Lab, stadd pro and Etab.
Mr. Nayeem Ansari has graduated from Aligarh Muslim University in 2014with (Hons.) and postgraduate in structural Engineering from the same university in 2016. He has more than two year teaching experience. He is three times GATE qualified with good rank.
He is a recipient of certificate of faculty development program (FDP) conducted by IIT Bombay. He has attended several seminar, conferences and workshop and also a part of different lecture events.He was also a part of sport activity at college level.
He has interest to understand the structural behavior for static as well as dynamic loads. He is also working on software based analysis of buildings. His favorite subjects are strength of materials, structural analysis, and design of structure and soil mechanics.
